Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has left the netizens impressed with his recently released film Sarfira. A remake of Suriya starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ Radhika Madan co-starrer has been winning over the audience. While the actor was busy in the promotion of the film, it seems like the hectic schedule has taken a toll on his health. A recent report by the Free Press Journal states that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Yes, you read that right! As Bollywood celebrities are gearing up to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, Akshay will be skipping the event due to his diagnosis. The report adds that the actor has not been feeling well for the past two days as he was busy promoting his film Sarfira. Quoting a source by India Today, the media publication stated that the actor got himself tested and the results came out positive for COVID-19. The report adds that due to him being tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning, the 56-year-old actor might not only miss out on the promotions of Sarfira but will also skip the Ambani wedding. For those who don’t know, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will be tying the knot on July 12, 2024, in the presence of their family and friends. The three-day-long wedding ceremony will begin with their Shubh Vivaah, and then on July 13, Shubh Aashirwad will be hosted. The ceremonies will conclude with their wedding reception Mangal Utsav on July 14th. The ceremonies will be taking place at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.
On the work front, last seen in Sarfira, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Singham Again, Khel Khel Mein, Sky Force, Hera Pheri 3, Kannappa, and the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle in his pipeline. He will also be making his debut in the Marathi film industry with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. He will essay Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s role.
